MIL-STD-882E for managers and project leaders

The training programme for the "Standard Practice System Safety" MIL-STD-882 E is aimed at project managers and managers from industry and the public sector. The training programme teaches the fundamentals of technical risk management based on the standard. In addition, practical questions on the application of the MIL standard are answered using examples.

The standard training course is designed as a 1-day event.

The training is held in German (English on request).

This training is currently only offered as in-house training.

We offer our customers the option of customising our training courses. The content can be customised based on key topics and thus tailored to the respective requirements. Depending on the number of key topics selected, the time frame for the training is also adapted. A customised training course can be put together from the following blocks:

The structure and organisation of the standards is presented here, as well as the "normative" and "optional" parts

These components form the basis for the other modules.
The following modules can now be added on this basis:
- BB1: focal topic ELEMENT 1 (SSPP)
- BB2: Focus topic analyses ELEMENT 2&3 (PHL, PHA, FHA, etc.)
- BB3: Focus topic conceptualisation ELEMENT 4 ("from hazard to mitigation")
- BB4: System Safety Engineering ELEMENT 5 (this BuildingBlock is dependent on the selection BB1-3, as there are interfaces there)
- BB5: Interfaces of MIL-STD-882 E to technical standards & guidelines
- BB6: Focus topic Software Contribution to System Risk
- BB7: DATA ITEM DESCRIPTIONS
- BB8: Outlook on MIL-STD-882 F (overview of the changes compared to E)
- BB9: Best practices in the application of MIL-STD-882 E in the EU (the selection of BB5 would be advantageous for this)
Elements 6 - 8 are already adequately covered in the security programme, which is why there are no key topics here.
